Consider bringing your own mugs for tea and coffee, as the kitchen lacks them. This could enhance your stay significantly.

Comfortable Stay with Kitchen Convenience
I enjoyed a week filled with comfort in my Standard Double Room. The kitchenette allowed me to save by cooking my meals instead of dining out. If you prefer the warmth, you might find the heating too high, but I'd trade that any day for a cozy ambiance!

The layout of the Standard Double Room offers decent size for what it is, especially the shower that provides adequate space. The overall design carries a unique charm, and the access via a dial pad lock feels modern and secure.
Upon arrival, I discovered the room hadn't been cleaned properly. the previous guest's sheets were still on the bed, which shouldn't happen. The pervasive smell of mould was a real issue, intensified by the removal of a chest of drawers and providing a dehumidifier without fully resolving it. Access to the place is tricky with ongoing road closures, leaving me reliant on £25 taxi rides to reach the city center. The bathroom cramped—trying to sit on the toilet means knees bumping into the adjacent towel rack. Noise from the street is relentless, making sleep a challenge when trucks and cars pass by, coupled with street lights flooding in because of the lack of opaque shutters.

The room was bright and clean, but I struggled with noise from the hallway and street. The communal kitchen was a nice bonus, though the shower temperature issue was quite inconvenient.

The room was well laid out and very clean, with a comfortable bed and good heating that I could adjust. the hallway light made it bright at night, and I could hear discussions from the room above. Still, the communal kitchen was spotless, making cooking simple.

I loved crashing here for a night. the bed was super comfy and the breakfast area was a nice touch, even though I didn't try the food. The garden area had some lovely spots to unwind, and I really appreciated the communal vibe. Just a couple more power outlets would’ve been handy for charging, but overall, it was a great stay! 😊

Comfortable Stay with Some Hiccups
We enjoyed our 5-night stay in a cozy room, perfect for couples. The restaurant's breakfast options were delicious and gave us a great start to each day. keep in mind the ongoing roadworks. it's best to plan taxi rides in advance to avoid extra costs.

Communal kitchen with coffee and tea.
I had a hot room with locked heating. The shower head was broken, spraying water everywhere, and the noise from upstairs was unbearable. There were ants crawling all over the bathroom floor on my second night, making the stay even more unpleasant.

Oh, the eateries around Botley Townhouse are a treasure trove! Swing by Tumbling Bay Cafe for a cheeky breakfast that'll make your taste buds dance! The clean, spacious kitchen available was a lovely touch, echoing that home-cooked vibe. 🌿
But, mate, the trek to the city ain't a walk in the park! And I had a bit of a hassle getting the telly to cooperate due to wi-fi issues, but the host’s Netflix hook-up saved the day!
